Called to be Free - Worldwide Church of God

Several days ago I discovered the following documentary featured on YouTube - Called to be Free. It tells the story of  a radical theological and doctrinal transformation that took place in the Worldwide Church of God in the mid 1990s, and the consequences that followed. It requires 74 minutes to watch, but it is worth the time. Its current leadership tells the story of transformation in their own words.

Let me suggest a few questions for reflection.

How many churches do I know which have been willing to face their own misleading believes without a compromise, whatever the consequences? Why is it so hard for a well established church organization to change its own theological misconceptions? Is their story relevant only in the case of a few questionable church movements usually labeled as cults, or is there a challenge that is applicable across the entire spectrum of Christian churches and denominations? Is there a message that challenges my own church community?

Let us reason together.
